Anshun Peaceful and Fluent BridgeThis is the Jingjiang River at Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan district, with the magnificent Anshun Peaceful and Fluent Bridge.
The district is located at the south of the country, and there are many scenic, historical, natural and cultural places to visit. The district is also known as "the district of the panda's".
Beautiful places at Chengdu to visit include the beautiful city Mianyang and Yibin. At Yibin the Yangtze is formed by the confluence of the Min and Jinsha rivers.
Sites in the district Sichuan which are at the Unesco World Heritige List are the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, the scenic area Mount Emei, including the Leshan Giant Buddha, Mount Qincheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System.
Also the Jiuzhaigou Valley, which is a scenic and historic interest area, and the Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries are on the list.
The Dazu Rock Carvings are listed as property of the Chongqing municipality.
Next to this, in the prefecture Ngawa, at the Tibetan Plateau, are numerous Buddhist monasteries to visit.
